Love Island huge twist sees 'girls go to Casa Amor' for first time in three years

Love Island bosses are reportedly set to make a huge twist to this year's Casa Amor offering, with the girls leaving the villa instead of the guys.

Female Islanders including Gemma Owen, Indiyah Polack and Tasha Ghouri are said to believe they are going out for cocktails, but are expected to be whisked away to the iconic second villa where they will be greeted by sexy singletons.

A source has claimed the Casa Amor trip will be "the girls' holiday of their dreams", but with budding romances being put to the ultimate test which couples will survive?

The insider told the Mail Online: "This year it's all about the girls – they have kept the boys on their toes and will continue to do so by leaving the main villa and heading to Casa Amor."

Mirror has contacted ITV for comment.

The source continued: "The new arrivals are ready to turn heads and for the first time in three years it will be the female stars of the show preparing to walk back into the villa with potentially a new man on their arm.

"It's all to play for and the likes of Gemma and Luca's relationship, as well as Tasha and Andrew's will be well and truly put to the test."

It will mark three years since the girls last visited the second villa. The last series where the girls entered Casa Amor was in 2019, with Amber Gill, Molly-Mae Hague, and Maura Higgins on the show at the time.

In the 2019 series, the girls in the established couples stayed faithful. But, the twist still provided a shock as Michael Griffiths decided to couple up with Joanna Chimonides, dumping Amber, 24.

This series has seen most the girls in established and blossoming romances including Tasha with Andrew Le Page, Gemma with Luca Bish, Indiyah with Dami Hope and Paige Thorne with Jacques O'Neill.

Meanwhile, 27-year-old Ekin-Su and Davide Sanclimenti have been rebuilding on their romance after the Turkish actress dumped the Italian stallion in favour of Jay Younger, after the pair shared a sneaky kiss on the terrace.

Ekin-Su and Davide shared a romantic date together on Thursday's episode. But, will the blossoming romances survive the test of Casa Amor?

Love Island's teaser has hinted at the girls' trip to Casa Amor, as it's revealed they will be invited out for cocktails as they receive a surprise text message.

It reads: "Girls, it’s time to get the drinks flowing as you’re off for a girls’ night out. #cocktailhour #shakenandstirred."

As the boys discover their ladies are off out, Dami, 26, asks: "What are we supposed to do without them though?"

The teaser then playfully adds: "What exactly will the girls' cocktail night entail? And is everything as it seems?"

While Dami seems out of sorts with the girls' absence, it's certain fishmonger Luca, 23, will find the experience tough as he's been described as 'needy' by fans amid his romance with Gemma.
