Maya Jama says she hopes she will do fans of Love Island proud as she shared a selfie of her in red ahead of tonight's 9pm airing on ITV2 and IVX.
The television presenter sent fans wild with her most recent post, which shows her in a red crochet co-ord with killer red lipstick to match, alongside the caption: "It’s nearly time!!! 9pm @loveisland hope I do you all proud", as she poses against the doorframe labelled 'host dressing room'.
Maya, who previously hosted Glow Up, earlier stated she immediately accepted the offer to host smash-hit dating programme Love Island whilst on holiday in America, where she received 'the call'.

Fans believe she has some big shoes to fill as she follows on from Laura Whitmore and the late Caroline Flack. But despite the nerves, over 150,000 people have liked her sexy snap.
Fans have flooded the comment section with positivity and support for the Bristol-born host, with Celebrity stylist NANA commenting saying: "MAYA!! You’re going to KILL it".
Fellow reality TV star Scarlett Moffatt commented with two heart eye emojis, and AJ Odudu, host of All4's The Bridge and Channel 4's Breakfast Show commented three fire emojis alongside " Let's go!". Nikki Wolff, otherwise known as nikki_makeup simply echoed many others and said: "What a babe".
It's fair to say that fans are hugely excited not only for the start of the ninth series, but also to see how Maya might make her mark on what has become one of the country's most eagerly-awaited television programmes of late.
We already know that she's entered on a helicopter, so what's next for the girl from Cotham?
The 2023 winter season of Love Island takes place in South Africa, more specifically in the Franschhoek wine valley. It promises sweltering sunshine and, potentially, hair problems for Maya who said: “if it’s 30, 40 degrees or however hot it is right now and the camera goes on my face, I’ve just got a curly fringe and just a wet face.”
Love Island airs tonight at 9.00pm on ITV2 and ITVX
