Love Island host Laura Whitmore to make West End debut

Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore is set for new pastures with a West End debut as part of the cast of 2:22 - A Ghost Story.

The 37-year-old just wrapped up this summer’s Love Island. Now, Whitmore will play, Jenny in the psychologial thriller.

The TV presenter took to Instagram on Thursday, August 11 to announce her career move.

She wrote: “News! I’m joining the cast of 2:22 A Ghost Story from September 6th! Come see me on stage making my West End debut in this critically-acclaimed psychological thriller. For a limited run only, book now!”

Whitmore will take her role alongside Busted’s Matt Willis, Tamsin Carroll who will play Lauren, and Felix Scott as Sam.

The current cast of 2:22 include actors Tom Felton, Mandip Gill, Beatriz Romilly and Sam Swainsburt, who will play their final performance on September 4.

In a statement, the former BBC 5 Live radio host added: “I’m so excited to be making my West End debut playing Jenny in the next production of 2:22.

“Theatre has always been my first love, and I can’t wait to get back on stage. I am a huge fan of the previous productions and delighted to be getting stuck in with rehearsals and working alongside such a hugely talented cast and team.”
