The Love Island girls appear to have a clear type once they leave the villa, as a bizarre dating trend has been discovered.
Multiple former islanders have ended up in relationships with footballers once their time in the villa is up.
Some believe that footballers and reality stars are the perfect match due to understanding how to navigate a world of fame.
The Sun reported that TV psychologist Emma Kenny thinks this has been demonstrated best through Victoria and David Beckham.
She said: "The reason that Love Islanders and footballers are drawn together is basically the same as why Victoria and David Beckham had that initial attraction. They understand the demands of a public life and the pressures that brings with it."
Emma added: "For the Islanders, the transition to being famous is a rapid one but it means they know what it is like to have people interested in your every move - especially as the show broadcasts it on an intense level for weeks."
Maura Higgins and Connor Wickham
The latest rumoured couple is Maura Higgins and Connor Wickham, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
It's thought the pair recently jetted off to Paris for a holiday together and have been dating each other for weeks.
Maura has posted photos from the Romantic destination but has not confirmed that she went with Connor.
Dani Dyer and Jarrod Bowen
Dani and West Ham star Jarrod have been together for the last few months and seem to be in it for the long run.
The former Love Island contestant has had a rocky road when it comes to love as the father of her child, Sammy Kimmence was sent to jail for fraud.
Despite her new romance, Dani has made it clear she is focusing mainly on her son Santiago.
Olivia Attwood and Bradley Dack
Bradley and Olivia dated before she went on Love Island and decided to start things back up afterwards.
The pair got engaged back in 2019 after Bradley romantically proposed in Dubai.
However, it hasn't been plain sailing as the couple have had to push their wedding back due to Covid but Olivia said she has enjoyed having extra time to plan.
Lucinda Strafford and Aaron Connolly
Similar to Olivia and Bradley, Lucinda and Aaron dated before she went on Love Island and then reignited their spark once she left.
However, it didn't turn out as well for them.
The pair decided to finally call it quits in April and haven't been together since.
Amber Gill and Jack Grealish
Although they were never officially together, Amber and Jack had reportedly been messaging and going on dates together.
However, it then came out that Jack was still with his girlfriend Sasha Attwood at the time as well as seeing Emily Atack.
It was reported that Amber was disappointed by what happened but she denied ever being involved herself.
