Love Island first look as recoupling sees boys choose and one Islander makes revelation

Love Island has announced a recoupling is set to air on Tuesday, July 11, the first since Casa Amor and Movie Night. It comes after ITV bosses shared a "tomorrow night" trailer showing the Islanders receiving an unexpected text asking them to gather around the fire pit.

In scenes set to air tonight, all becomes clear as another message reaches the villa informing the contestants that the power is in the boys' hands this evening. The second message reads: "Islanders, it's time to recouple. The boys will now pick which girls they want to recouple with."

During the speeches one boy shocks a girl with a heartwarming revelation as he says: "I genuinely feel like there is a future with this girl." Another boy announces that he would like to be exclusive with the girl he chooses to couple up with.

Elsewhere, Scott Van Der Sluis and Mitchel Taylor catch up in the garden as Scott tells Mitch he wants to explore his connection with Abi Moores.

Scott tells Mitch: "I had a chat with Abi earlier today, you know how things change very, very quickly in here… I've got to explore every possibility in here at the moment… I've put a few cards on the table saying I’m open to getting to know you and do you feel the same way and she said she's open… I just wanted to pull you before I start doing anything."

The Islanders gather for the recouping: Ouzy See, Elom Ahlija-Wilson, Sammy Root, Scott van-der-Sluis, Lochan Nowacki, Montel McKenzie, Zachariah Noble, Tyrique Hyde, Mitchel Taylor, Kady McDermott, Catherine Agbaje, Jess Harding, Whitney Adebayo, Abi Moores, Molly Marsh, Amber Wise, Ella Thomas and Leah Taylor (ITV/REX/Shutterstock)

The episode will also see the Islanders take on the Life's A Beach challenge. The challenge requires each couple to take part in three rounds, the first is themed around throwing shade on their opponents as they reveal their true feelings towards the couple of their choice whilst presenting them with an umbrella.

As the Islanders opinions on their fellow couples come to light, some pairs get shade. Once the result is revealed, Whitney says: "Well, that’s the end of them…"
