Love Island 2022 is quickly coming to an end; there's just a week left until the final and viewers are getting concerned that some of their favourite challenges might not be making a return.
Last night it was revealed that the Islanders will take part in the iconic talent show in tonight's episode, and there could be lots more challenges coming up.
The popular Meet The Parents episode is yet to happen and the Islanders haven't been tested on their own parenting skills with the Baby Challenge.
Movie Night created some explosive drama in the villa, but fans are also eager for the return of the lie detector test and the Twitter Headlines challenge.
With the show coming to a close in a matter of days, there could be a packed week ahead for the contestants.
Here's everything you need to know about the Love Island challenges that haven't happened yet and whether they'll return this week.
Will the Twitter Challenge return to Love Island?
Fans have been begging producers to bring back the infamous Twitter Challenge this year.
The challenge, which was called Online Buzz, sees the Islanders reading out savage Tweets from the public before they have to guess who they're about and it's led to some huge fallouts in the villa before.
But the Twitter challenge hasn't happened on the series since 2019 - it was scrapped ahead of the 2020 Winter Love Island series after producers were accused of faking the tweets.
A source told The Sun at the time: "The Twitter challenge won't be on this year's series - it hasn't been ditched for good, it's just not happening on the winter season."
In the 2020 winter series, a similar challenge was debuted that saw the Islanders reading out headlines about them.
However, last year, neither of the challenges returned to the show.
Unfortunately, it looks like the Twitter challenge won't return this year either.
When are the parents going on Love Island?
Fans are eager for the Meet The Parents segment of Love Island this year and it looks like it is set to return.
Traditionally, the parents visit the villa during the penultimate episode before the final.
This year's final is set to take place on August 1 so it's expected that we'll see the parents in the villa on July 31.
It's not just parents that make an appearance in this episode; the Islanders siblings and other family members could also make an appearance.
This year, some of the contestants have some famous family members and fans have been highly anticipating their appearance on the family episode.
But unfortunately for Michael Owen fans, the football legend has already confirmed that he won't be heading to the villa to visit his daughter Gemma.
Speaking to Sky Sports At The Races, Michael said: "My wife will do that duty. I’ll represent the horses and she’ll represent the daughter."
What is the Love Island Baby Challenge?
The Love Island Baby Challenge is another well-loved tradition on the show and Laura Whitmore has confirmed that it will be returning this year.
The challenge sees the couple's relationships really put to the test as they're tasked with caring for a baby of their own.
Usually, the winning couple will get to go on a romantic date after showing off their parenting skills.
Historically, the baby challenge has happened five days before the final.
If this year's series follows suit, that means we're likely to see the Islanders take part in the Baby Challenge on Wednesday night (July 27).
Will the lie detector test return to Love Island?
The Twitter Challenge isn't the first controversial challenge scrapped by Love Island producers.
The famous lie detector test saw the Islanders hooked up to a polygraph while their partner asked them questions.
However, the challenge was scrapped in 2019 after The Jeremy Kyle Show was taken off air following the death of a guest on the show.
The tragedy sparked concern about the use of the lie detector test on Love Island too.
A source told The Sun: "The lie detector episode is everyone’s favourite but it does cause some serious arguments between couples.
"Love Island is already under scrutiny following the tragic deaths of two past contestants so producers will be keen to avoid any further issues."
Despite the challenge being scrapped a few years ago, fans still want it to return for this year's series.
One fan Tweeted: "Feel like we really deserve to have the lie detector challenge back this year."
While another said: "Where’s the lie detector challenge. I wanna see Luca have a meltdown."
But it looks like viewers are set to be disappointed once again as producers have no plans to bring it back.
