Love Island fans 'work out' winners just one week into show after dumping twist

Love Island viewers think that Tuesday's episode may have revealed the winners of the summer series, weeks ahead of the final.

Two Islanders in particular won over viewers once again, as the couple went on their first date on the show.

Whitney and Medhi paired up in the last recoupling, while viewers were not sure if the couple would work or if they liked each other.

It's still early days, but it's clear they both get along and are often joking around - with fans commenting on their humour and their hilarious antics during even the most tense of moments.

In the latest episode, viewers saw the pair told they would be going on their first big date - and the first of the series so far.

The pair headed out of the villa and enjoyed a bike ride, before having a romantic drink or two in the forest.

As the pair spoke about their first week in the villa, they soon headed back to share all with their co-stars.

Whitney told the girls that the date had brought them closer and that she may show some affection soon, while Medhi was also pleased with how it went - later picking her in the recoupling.

Viewers watching at home loved the date and confessed they thought Whitney and Medhi could even go on and win the whole show - while some were not sure it would be anything more than friendship for the pair.

Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "nah the way i NEED Whitney and Medhi to win they’re sooooooo unserious."

A second viewer tweeted: "I love #whitney and #medhi Can they just win already?!"

A third fan wrote: "Nah Medhi and Whitney to win it all man," as a fourth said: "give medhi and whitney the 50k pls."

It comes as one of the Islanders is set to be dumped in scenes to air on Wednesday, while the person has already left.

Ruchee and Ella were both left single at the end of the recoupling on Tuesday, and the other Islanders were told one of them had to leave.

The Islanders have to choose between the two girls, with fans gutted that one of them will be going home.

On Monday night, Love Island viewers were on the edge of their seats as the show welcomed two new bombshells - social media marketer Leah and dental nurse Charlotte - who were both hoping to woo some of the boys away from their current partners.

Leah chose three guys to date whilst Charlotte also picked three and both seemed to have the same type in men as they picked Molly's current love interest Zachariah and her former love interest Mitchell to cook for them.

Molly seemed unimpressed when Leah walked into the villa as she watched from the terrace, before remarking that they were friends and knew each other outside the villa. However, the look on her face made it seem as though were not on the best of terms.

Speaking ahead of her arrival in the villa, Leah said: "I’ve realised through past experiences exactly what I want in life when it comes to love. I’m ready to find it now and I’m not going to wait around. I've figured out what it is that I look for in a person, which means my bar is set really high.

"I would say I honestly have so much love to give and being in love is the best thing you can ever experience. I’m ready for everything that comes with it and the hardships you have to go through in order to make that commitment and find the one."

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
