Love Island viewers have been put off Jessie Wynter after she got involved with drama between Casey O'Gorman, Claudia Fogarty and Will Young.
On Monday nights instalment of the ITV2 dating show, Snog, Marry, Pie returned for another challenge which resulted in Casey falling out with Will and Tom Clare after they made digs against him in the challenge. Afterward, the trio had a conversation to clear the air and Will insisted he would never want Casey to feel like he didn't have his back.
Will told his partner Jessie about what went down during the dramatic scenes with Casey, and she said: "It’s a little bit disappointing Casey sees it that way to be honest, I can understand why he would feel that way but it’s a bit of a stretch.”
Will explains: “I said, ‘I’m sorry that you feel that way, my intentions were never to hurt you, they were to make sure that Claudia is OK.’”
Later in the day, Aussie Jessie decides to speak directly with Casey about the boys' fall out and tempers soon flare.
She says: “Firstly, are you OK? The boys mentioned that you were a bit annoyed? The boys weren’t trying to not stick up for you, they were just trying to console Claudia.”
Casey responds: “The boys have apologised to me so it’s fine.”
Jessie continued: “I’m going to be honest, I don’t think that they needed to apologise.”
Clearly unhappy with her response, Casey says: “I don’t understand why you’re trying to get involved in this, I don’t know why you’re getting your two pence involved.” Jessie replies: “Because I feel bad for Will because I saw how upset he got about you being surprised at him.”
Unhappy with her answer, Casey snipes: “I really don’t understand why you’re getting involved in this, it’s really got nothing to do with you. I’ve literally been through this with everyone, I don't need to go through it with you.”
Things continue to escalate well into the night, with Casey and Will's friendship becoming increasingly tense. Will and Jessie have a debrief about her chat with Casey in bed and she says: “I don’t think anyone speaks their true minds here, I voiced my feelings towards Casey.”
Casey overhears and snaps at them: “Get a life Jessie.”
In a bid to defend his girlfriend, Will quips: “It wasn’t about you.”
Viewers were divided by the drama, with many turning on the Australian beauty after she got involved with the situation between Will and Casey.
One fan tweeted: "Jessie’s attitude getting on my nerves lately. She used to be the nice girl but ever since casa she’s been holding a grudge against Will and now she’s getting involved in Casey’s situation (when Casey went about it the right way tbh) #loveisland."
"Jessie is really pissing me off now, she is bullying Casey now and I'm not here for it. She needs to leave. #loveisland," said another. A third added: "Casey is LITERALLY the only one in there always being honest, wtf is Jessie on about?! #loveisland."
A fourth wrote: "I think Jessie is projecting her frustration about her and Will’s situation onto Casey #LoveIsland," while a fifth echoed: "Jessie had no right to go up to Casey #LoveIsland."
However some viewers took to her defence on social media, after noticing it seemed like the entire villa was talking about Jessie behind her back: "How has the whole villa added 2 + 2 and got 5?! How does Jessie and Casey’s chat mean she’s not genuine about Will?! #loveisland."
"defo missing something, Will told Jessie what happened and she stuck up for her bloke! i think Casey took it wrong, she was trying to make Casey feel better by saying it wasn’t that the boys didn’t have his back, they was just trying to make Claudia feel better," another penned.
Someone else agreed: "Don’t know how after Jessie calmly voicing her opinion can turn into them all being nasty about her character, she’s been nothing but sweet and genuine and Casey is acting like a child at this point you made your bed. Lie in it. #LoveIslandUK."
"Where has this Anti-Jessie Brigade come from? She goes directly to Casey and says how she feels, having Will's back, and now she's fake and only here for the drama and not into Will? And now they're MAKING her the drama? #LoveIsland," a fourth added.
