Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu are favourites to win tonight's Love Island final, meaning they could both be set to pocket £25,000 each on prize money.
Or could they?
Each year there's £50,000 up for grabs, but the two winners have to pick an envelope each, with one containing £0 and the other containing the full prize.
Whoever has the envelope with the prize money will be asked if they want to split it. So far, no-one has chosen to keep the £50,000 for themselves.
However, fans are convinced that's what Davide is planning, claiming that he's hatched a sinister plan to pocket the cash for himself.
After all, he and Ekin haven't had the smoothest of rides. He was furious when she snogged Jay on the terrace while they were still coupled, and famously branded her an 'actress and a liar' in an epic row.
Despite Davide comparing Ekin to food that had passed its expiry date, she launched a campaign to get him back.
It eventually paid off, but a reserved David made it clear she would have to earn his forgiveness. And some believe he never really let go of the grudge and has been stringing her along just to stiff her at the final post.
And their claims aren't without backing, with odds from William Hill predicting that the Italian Stallion is the most likely to take the money for himself at odds of 16/1.
William Hill spokesperson, Tony Kenny, said: “Though loved up and in line to win the contest, Davide and Ekin-Su have proven their unpredictability time and again and could take one last chance to get one over the other by stealing the £50k cash prize. Davide has struggled to trust Ekin-Su throughout the series and is 16/1 to steal the prize."
Taking to Twitter ahead of tonight's final, one fan wrote: "i 10000% believe davide will steal the money."
Another added: "If Davide and Ekin win and Davide picks the money envelope I’m most positive he will steal the money."
And a third agreed: "Anyone else think that if Ekin and Davide won, he’s steal the money for the jokes? Lol."
Meanwhile, one eagle-eyed viewer believes Davide gave his supposed plan away in a cryptic conversation with Ekin.
They explained: "You guys remember when Davide told Ekin, "trust is good, not trust is better" then she asked him what do you mean, and he said, "you will understand babygirl" What if he's alluding to the fact that he's gonna steal the money."
The Love Island final is on tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
