Love Island fans think they have spotted the moment one bombshell on the ITV2 dating show appeared to snub finalists Gemma Owen and Luca Bish.
Eagle-eyed viewers noticed that bombshell Antigoni Buxton refused to clap for the couple, who were runners up on the dating show, as they chatted to reunion host Laura Whitmore. As the camera panned to Antigoni’s table, fellow bombshells Jay Younger and Charlie Radnedge were seen showing their support with a round of applause, while she sat in between them unmoving.
Clocking the moment, one fan took to Twitter to write: “Antigoni did not clap ONCE for gemma and luca i’m yelling,” alongside a crying emoji. A second commented: “Antigoni not clapping for gemma and luca I love it tbh.”
A third added: “I love when they zoom in on islanders not clapping for the finalists. Antigoni no clap for Gemma and Luca.”
It comes after all the finalists snubbed Antigoni’s afterparty after filming for the reunion show had wrapped.
While the majority of the ITV2 dating show stars headed to Antigoni’s house for a bash, winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti were absent, as were Gemma and Luca, Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack as well as Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page.
Love Island fans were far from impressed by this season's closing show as the islanders met up in front of the camera together for one last time.
There had been rumours the show would be full of drama after an apparent bust-up between Coco Lodge and Summer Botwe, but fans were left disappointed as the drama aired was quickly shut down and fizzled out.
Fans were also surprised that Laura's regular Aftersun guest Darren Harriott was a part of proceedings.
Darren was the one who interviewed Billy Brown, Josh Le Grove and Coco and Summer in what became an explosive row too intense to be aired in full, much to the dismay of the loyal viewers.
Elsewhere, there were criticisms of the "cringy" scene in which Darren asked Jay to showcase his chiselled torso to the audience.
Meanwhile, others complained at how much air time Joel Corry and Becky Hill got throughout the show as the pair gave a live performance of their new song.
One user on Twitter wrote: “I tried to enjoy this reunion… I tried so damn hard but it’s pathetic.”
Another fumed: “So the reunion flopped again. Love Island how are you so incompetent at asking the most basic questions.
“U didn’t even know about the summer & coco drama so u got handed drama. Literally pathetic, small youtubers could do a better job than these big paid producers.”
A third tweeted: “What a load of sh**e this reunion was," while a fourth slammed: “The worst part of this reunion is the fact I’m never gonna get the hour and a half back in my life again. Worst sh**e I’ve seen.”
