Love Island fans say same thing as Movie Night 'exposes' Ron leaving Olivia in tears

Love Island’s Olivia was left in tears at the start of Thursday evening’s episode after Movie Night got back underway with a clip for Ron’s behaviour in Casa Amor.

In scenes in the villa on Thursday evening, Movie Night’s second instalment saw the girls score the next point in the quiz and therefore allowed to select the next title to play on the big projector screen.

They decided to air Ronnie Darko as Lana said: “I’m nervous, my heart’s going.”

As the Islanders watched the clip – which showed Ron encouraging Tom and Kai to explore other connections in Casa Amor – Olivia said: “I already knew he was a fake friend, I don’t need him.”

Olivia was left noticeably upset at Ron’s suggestion Tom was never interested in her and ended up bursting into tears.

However, as the girls looked put off by Ron’s meddling, Love Island fans took to Twitter agreeing what he had said had been largely accurate.

One wrote: “Ron getting exposed but he was right about Olivia ngl,” as a second added: “Ron stirred it more than I remembered hahahah.”

“But what Ron said about Olivia was 100% factual,” a third added as another penned: “Ron told no LIESSSS about Olivia because guess what you did de-recouple.”

“But it’s true no?? You couldn’t get Tom, no need to cry,” another added.

The ITV2 reality show’s answer for the Cannes Film Festival kicked off on Wednesday night, when the Islanders walked down the villa red carpet into the garden to sit in two teams of boys and girls.

The iconic segment sees the Islanders watch a variety of clips from the show, which they have never been privy to and never fail to spark drama in the villa.

Each side faced a pop quiz of questions to earn the right to pick a clip, with the options including Free Will-Y, The Fast and the Curious, No Time To Kai and Liv Actually.

Love Island confirmed that Movie Night would be returning after days of pleading from eager ITV2 viewers at the end of Tuesday evening’s show.

Fans knew their favourite part of the show was coming back when voiceover star Iain Stirling said: "Tomorrow night" and a 'Movie Night' sign appeared alongside the familiar trumpets of the 21st Century Fox sound logo.

It was Ron who received the news, when producers sent him a text message, reading: “Islanders, it’s time to get glam hit the red carpet and grab some popcorn as tonight it’s Movie Night #Blockbuster #ThrillerInTheVilla.”
