Love Island fans react to Paige Thorne's heart rate challenge outfit with a threat to 'call Ofcom'

It's the game that the Islanders work up a sweat over and now, the iconic heart rate challenge has been and gone on ITV2 dating show, Love Island. One look, however, failed to meet viewers' standards, with one person threatening to "call Ofcom". The outfit in question was worn by Welsh Islander, Paige Thorne, who is currently coupled up with Jacques O'Neill.

Fans immediately took to social media after seeing Paige's Baywatch-inspired outfit. The Swansea ambulance driver wore a platinum blonde wig and a red swimsuit with a matching life buoy. It was Paige's choice of wig that raised concerns with viewers of the show.

One fan wrote: "Paige is unbelievably peng and they gave her that as a costume? Nah I’m calling Ofcom." Meanwhile, another person found similarities to the treatment of 2021 Islander Mary Bedford, who also wore a wig during the challenge. They said: "Paige’s wig is giving Mary’s Little Mermaid costume."

After performing a dance for all the boys, Paige raised Dami Hope's heart rate the most. Paige was in for a rude awakening during the challenge, as her current partner Jacques O'Neill, had his heart rate raised the most by his ex-girlfriend Gemma Owen.
