Love Island fans moan about 'lack of personality' in cast as trailer airs

Love Island viewers were less than impressed with this year's contestants after the trailer dropped this evening.

The winter edition of the show, hosted by the gorgeous Maya Jama, is returning to our screens next week and ITV2 has released a clip to introduce the stars.

The three-minute-long clip has the contestants introducing themselves as they discuss their personalities and what they look for in a partner.

However, not every fan appreciated the introduction and moaned about the 'lack of personality' in this year's cast.

They took to Twitter to share their opinions about the stunning new singles waiting to find love in the South African villa.

"It’s always a tough watch with the intros," one concerned user said.

Another added: "Still not a hundred percent sold on the cast but it’s still the beginning. Hopefully, we’ll see more of their personalities in the individual videos."

"Okay so no personality whatsoever but we'll see, it's always like that in the beginning ig," one user said along with a snap of a person tearing up.

One person said: "all of them are so boring…"

While some are concerned about this year's contestants, many are simply excited to get obsessed with the series.

Meanwhile, there were some people who are worried about the first coupling.

There was a twist with last season as the contestants weren't allowed to choose who they wanted to step forward for.

Instead, the public voted on who they wanted each Islander coupled up with.

"I am PRAYING that Love Island won't do what they did last season by allowing the public to match up the first batch of contestants, let's not force BLM love again!" one person said.

Last year, Dami Hope was coupled up with Amber Beckford while Indiyah Polack was paired with Ikenna Ekwonna.

The public's vote didn't last as Dami ended up getting close with the gorgeous Indiyah - with the two still in a relationship now.

Ikenna and Amber left the show early on after failing to find love.

Meanwhile, the winter edition is set to spark the raunchiest series yet with a number of x-rated additions...

It's also been rumoured that, after the explosive reaction to former Islander Adam Collard entering the Love Island villa, another ex-Islander is set to return to the series.
