Love Island fans were left in hysterics during Wednesday night’s episode during a very awkward moment for Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope.

Although the pair are currently coupled up, Indiyah was left red-faced when she accidentally called her partner by her ex’s name.

After calling him Deji instead of Dami, Indiyah immediately put her hand over her mouth in shock while Danica Taylor laughed in the background.

Despite the slipup, Indiya later reaffirmed to her partner “It’s only as bad as you made it seem.”

Although Indiyah tried her best to reassure Dami, he certainly wasn’t impressed by the blunder, adding: “That has actually hurt me, that’ll hurt me for a while. I can’t even go and sit by Deji now.”

Dami - who was earlier voted one of the bottom two boys in the villa - later added: “‘Way to kick me when I’m down. Are you trying to say the name Deji is what you first think of?”

The awkward moment did not go unmissed by Love Island viewers, some of who suggested that Dami should be “humbled” by the incident.

“Not Indiyah saying Deji i hope Dami is humbled so hard #LoveIsland,” wrote one viewer.

Another added: “Indiyah calling Dami, Deji is the best thing in this episode #loveIsland.”

It’s been quite the rollercoaster for Indiyah and Dami, who initially split in Casa Amor and found new partners during their time apart.

However, back in the main villa the pair grew close and quickly rekindled their romance.

Despite that, it wasn’t enough to stop Dami from finding himself in the bottom after a public vote. He was only saved after several girls chose to keep him in the villa, which meant that Billy Brown and Summer Botwe were sent packing.
