Love Island viewers have been left gobsmacked after realising that Gemma Owen was around 15 when returning islander Adam Collard first appeared on the ITV2 show.
Adam, 26 - who became the first past islander to come back to the villa in Monday's episode - had originally been a contestant on the popular dating series back in 2018.
He's now been seen getting to know the latest batch of girls, including Paige Thorne, 24, and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, 27 - as well as having a conversation with Gemma, 19.
Viewers have however joked that the dressage rider is "too young" to recognise Adam - after sharing their surprise at discovering she was about 15 when he was first on the show.
"Gemma was 15 the last time Adam was in the villa. Let that sink in," tweeted one viewer recently. Others described the information as "wild" and "insane," as well as "weird".
Another viewer said: "Nah I saw a tweet earlier saying Gemma was 14 when Adam was on Love Island and I can't get over it." A sixth fan expressed surprise saying: "F*** off."
And it's seemingly prompted jokes on Twitter with a viewer saying earlier: "Gemma doesn't know who Adam is as she wasn't allowed to watch it when his series [initially] aired."
Another viewer has commented about the pair: "Gemma wondering why she doesn't recognise Adam not realising she was 14 when he was last on and already in bed by 9pm."
"The first time he was on the show she was busy with Brownies club," teased one viewer. Another tweeted that Love Island "probably started after her bedtime" in 2018.
"In 2018 Gemma wasn't even old enough to go see Adam at any of his club appearances," tweeted another viewer. Others asked whether she would have any idea who he was.

Gemma however did seem to know who Adam was upon his arrival into the villa in the latest episode, with some fans saying she may have watched the show in her mid-teens.
Some of the girls questioned whether it was Adam as he walked towards them in the villa, with Gemma agreeing: "I think it is [him]." She briefly teased that it may be a lookalike.
