Love Island fans get 'deja vu' and immediately predict winner

Love Island fans think they've spotted this year's winner as the show has just about got underway.

The new series, in South Africa, saw a group of new Islanders hoping to find love this winter. It's the first time the show has returned to South Africa since pre-pandemic.

The luxury villa looks remarkably similar to the one in Spain, with a huge swimming pool, firepit, and pastel themed bedrooms.

Maya Jama , 28, has taken over as host from Laura Whitmore, 37, who announced she was stepping down in August.

As the first episode got underway, many viewers said they had "deja vu", as one Islander seemed familiar. Some fans even predicted the winner, as they sensed a lot of drama was to come.

It came after Olivia, 27, had her man "stolen" from her by another girl. While she was initially paired with Kai, Tanyel also chose him, and Olivia ended up with farmer Will.

While Olivia said: "It is what it is", many fans of the show did not think that was the last of it. Taking to Twitter, NT said: "This girl gives me Maura vibes", while Naomi said: "I can just tell I'm gonna like Olivia".

Alison said: "Getting some Maura and Ekin-Su vibes". Sharing a snap of Maura Higgins, Tom said: "Deja vu much?", and Phoebe said: "Olivia is the new Maura only she wins this time, calling it now".
