Viewers of tonight's episode of Love Island (February 12) were not treated to the levels of glued-to-your seat drama that they've come to expect over the years.
The main topic of conversation for the first 40 minutes of the episode centred around a tiff between Island couple Shaq and Tanya, which resulted in the two quarrelsome lovers moping around the villa and seeking advice from their contemporaries.
Shaq, a 24-year-old who works as an airport security officer, had been subjected to a scolding from Tanya, a 22-year-old student and model, due to a disagreement that flared up between them over the washing up.

During tonight's episode, Shaq had a conversation with Tom about Tanya, who had compared him to a former boyfriend of hers.
He said: "When someone that you're seeing and supposed to be in love with says that little things in you remind them of their ex, that for me is such a huge statement to say.
"I'm not going to go into something with someone that thinks I have negative similarities to an ex."
In an attempt to reassure Shaq, Tom cooly stated: "You will work things out."
Shaq continued: "At this point, the way I feel about the situation, I need to sleep on it and think about it."
Many viewers were left fuming at their screens as most have been waiting eagerly for the return of Casa Amor, which sees the cast of ITV reality show divided into two separate villas, with the division then being kept as a secret.
One group remains in the original villa while the other is relocated to Casa Amor.
