Love Island fans fear Will is 'too pure for the villa' as he consoles sobbing Anna-May

Love Island viewers fear that series favourite Will Young may be 'too pure for the villa' after he rushed to console Anna-May while she was in floods of tears on Tuesday's instalment of the ITV2 dating show.

TikTok star Will, 23, was first to give the Anna-May a hug after she was left in tears when Kai Fagan told her he didn’t feel they would be going anywhere romantically, with fans noticing he appeared to be petting her like one of his animals on the farm.

The loveable farmer had been unlucky in love in the villa, until Jessie Wynter entered the palatial pad this week with the pair sharing their first kiss last night.

While things are looking up for Will, with fans hoping he'll go on to win the series alongside Jessie, Anna-May has been left heartbroken after Kai confessed that he sees nothing more happening between them.

After Anna-May broke down in tears, Will was the first to rush to her side as he cuddled her and gave her reassurance that she will find the one who is right for her, telling her that Kai clearly wasn't the one.

Spilling her heart out in Will's arms, Anna-May told him: "It is difficult if you want to find someone. I know we've only been here a week and I'm being silly. I'm not upset about him, just with the situation."

Consoling his friend, Will pulled Anna-May in for a big hug as he said: "Have a cry, it isn't silly, it's a super tough and tense situation."

After the sweet moment, Love Island fans now have championed Will, with many calling for him to go all the way to the final of the show, while others insist that he's 'too pure' for Love Island.

"I have never seen a man like Will on Love Island before and it's beyond refreshing to see someone who is just unapologetically themselves. I hope he wins this series," one fan gushed.

"Will is too pure for Love Island. Bless his gorgeous soul," another gushed.

"Honestly Will is way up there with one of the best contestants to ever come onto Love Island. Farmer Will for the win," someone else swooned.

While a fourth tweeted: "WILL IS SO CUTE OMG!!!! THE WAY HE'S CUDDLING ANNA-MAY!!!! HUSBAND MATERIAL."

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
