Love Island fans distracted after spotting 'cute' Paige Thorne and Gemma Owen detail

Love Island 2022's latest explosive episode left four contestants vulnerable and the fate of their future on the show in the hands of their fellow Islanders. On Tuesday, July 12 the stars of the show headed to Vibe Club for a VIP party with DJ Joel Corry but the mood quickly changed when host Laura Whitmore crashed the party and announced there would be a double dumping.

But despite the drama, fans were left distracted as they noticed that Gemma Owen and Paige Thorne were wearing almost identical outfits. The gorgeous Islanders both opted for white crop tops and a matching high-waisted skirt for the occasion.

Spotting the matching moment, one social media user asked: "Did Gemma and Paige not have an outfit convo before they left?"

While another quizzed: "Are Gemma and Paige wearing exactly the same outfit?"

It was also picked up by those running the Swansea-born paramedic's Instagram account. Friends of the Welsh contestant reposted a message from one fan who wrote: "Omg Gemma and Paige are matching so cute."

This year's Love Island wardrobes are filled with second-hand clothes for the first time. In a bid to make the show more eco-friendly and to encourage people to buy pre-loved first when shopping.

Mike Spencer, executive producer of Love Island, said: "We are thrilled to be pairing up with eBay this year as our pre-loved fashion partner. As a show we strive to be a more eco-friendly production with more focus on ways in which we can visibly show this on screen.

"This partnership will see our Islanders get to dive into the shared wardrobes and help themselves to some incredible pre-loved clothes sourced from eBay. We aim to inspire our demographic and show that there are incredible finds to be had and how sharing is, in some small way, caring." You can read more on this here.

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
