Love Island fans had a moment of vindication on Thursday night when Olivia’s gossipy behaviour in the villa was finally unveiled to her fellow Islanders during Movie Night.
After the boys got a question correct in their battle to watch more clips of the Islanders, they opted to watch Liv Actually.
In the short snippets from the villa footage, Olivia's true colours were laid bare, as it showed her forgetting Kai's name and badmouthing the other Islanders.
The scenes left her fellow contestants visibly shocked, but in the moment Olivia doubled down on her comments, saying: “If you've got any questions, come to me after,” as she insisted she would have said it to people’s faces.
Love Island viewers at home were eager to watch the fallout unfold in the villa, but then none of the Islanders questioned Olivia about her comments in the wake of Movie Night – with most of the drama instead focusing around Tanya and Shaq and Samie and Tom respectively.
In later scenes on Thursday evening, Olivia then proceeded to have a disagreement with her current partner Maxwell over whether he would be interested in a new bombshell entering the villa – which, in typical Olivia fashion, she then promptly went to badmouth about to the other girls in the villa.
Twitter was ablaze with baffled fans after the string of events, with many questioning why the star had so much screen time and how she could justify somewhat erratic behaviour.
One tweeted: “Who on production is on Olivia’s payroll, speak now!! I don’t understand how she’s back to being the centre of attention.”
A second asked: “Does Olivia have something on the producers? Why is she getting all of this airtime?”
“I think Olivia is a producer you know. This is my only explanation to explain her character,” another echoed.
A fellow fan concluded: “I genuinely believe that Olivia is an actress on the producers payroll because she's said some things that just are beyond delusion.
“She was crafted to get on the public's nerves for entertainment.”
Olivia and Maxwell could indeed now be put to the test after Love Island confirmed that two new bombshells will be entering the villa on Friday.
The new Islanders - Rosie Seabrook and Keanan Brand - will make their way into the villa just as the couples are being torn apart by the chaos of Movie Week.
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
