Love Island fans confused by Tyrique's advice to the boys

Love Island fans were shocked after hearing the advice he gave to the boys in last night's episode.

Since being in Casa Amor, Tyrique has remained faithful to Ella Thomas with Love Island fans now saying he has been ‘gaslighting’ the other boys in the villa so he can be seen as the ‘innocent one’.

Last night’s episode saw Tyrique encouraging Sammy to kiss two different girls to try and find out who he liked more. He also told Montel to kiss Tink Reading, despite appearing to be quite happy with Leah Taylor, with whom he was coupled up with ahead of Casa Amor.

Love Island fans on Twitter were confused as to why they would follow Tyrique's advice, with one writing: "Tyrique is actually a cult leader I can't believe they’re listening to him like this #LoveIsland" while another added: “Montel on his way to kiss a girl he doesn't like because captain ty told him to #loveisland”.

A third said: “Not Tyrique gaslighting the guys to kiss the girls so he can be seen as the innocent one [crying emoji] #LoveIsland”. Other Love Island fans on Twitter pointed out that Scott van der Sluis had not been following Tyrique's advice, theorising that this may be why the pair don't appear to get on, with one fan arguing: "Now I see why Tyrique doesn’t like Scott, because Scott doesn’t follow him like the others [two crying emojis] #loveIsland".

A second tweeted: “See how Scott isn’t being bullied into lipsing any girl? This is why Tyrique wanted to beat him earlier on [crying emoji]".
