Love Island fans have called out Gemma Owen for "running" to put her make-up on after she realised her ex boyfriend had entered the villa.
Rugby star Jacques O'Neill entered the house of love in tonight's episode and went on dates with single girls Paige and Afia.
As Jacques sat in the villa's garden, the remaining girls wondered who he could be, before a shocked Gemma realised it was her ex boyfriend.
Gemma then left the balcony and headed to put her make-up on, revealing to fellow contestant Tasha that she hadn't seen Jacques since they broke up.
Several people picked up on this, with one person saying on Twitter : "I'm not really bothered" sunglasses + the sudden increase in makeup."
A second person wrote: "As soon as she closed it was her ex she went to put make up on..."
Another wrote: "Gemmas not phased at all about her ex being there and that's absolutely not why she's put a full face of make up on first thing in the morning."
A fourth person quipped: "Gemma literally slapped on a full face pf make up after seeing her ex and is talking about she don’t care"
On Twitter user said: "Gemma clocked it’s her ex and went to go and apply make up… urghhhh just let Paige have this mannn."
Another person quipped: "Gemma running to grab her make up soon as she realised it’s her ex."
As the girls gather to discuss Jacques’ arrival, Gemma shared her true feelings towards her ex-boyfriend.
“I don’t know. It’s weird because I still look at him and I do fancy him like 100%, I look at him and I think you are fit, no question, you are fit," she told the other girls.
And fresh from her date with the handsome hunk, Paige said: “Yeah, I think we all look at him and think he’s fit, yeah.”
Speaking to Luca, who she is coupled up with, Gemma said of Jacques' entrance: "I am absolutely fine, I don't feel worried or anything."
Jacques and Gemma reportedly enjoyed a year-long romance before entering Love Island
The 19-year-old's father, Michael Owen, is said to have met the rugby player and built up a good relationship with him.
Gemma referenced her dad making an effort with her beau in a previous episode of Love Island.
The dressage rider is an accomplished sports woman and Jacques is said to have accompanied his gal to her international dressage events.
The rest of the episode saw Jacques speak to Paige and Ekin-Su, the group play a game of never have I ever and Ekin-Su and Davide snog twice.
