Love Island fans baffled as Luca makes random 'dig' at Mark Wright amid Paige 'clash'

Love Island fans didn't understand what they had missed on Monday night, as Luca Bish appeared to make a jibe at former TOWIE and I'm A Celebrity star Mark Wright, before clashing with Paige Thorne.

Mark, who is married to actress Michelle Keegan, randomly came up in conversation between Luca, Adam Collard and Paige.

For no known reason, Luca asked the duo if they thought Mark was "punching" with Michelle, and whether they thought he was good looking.

As the pair responded, Luca made it clear he thought Michelle was better looking than Mark, declaring Mark was "not all that".

Luca had said: "Oi Adam, would you say Mark Wright is really good looking? I don't think he's all that, he is punching big time."

It caused a stir in the villa, as Paige went on to say Luca was punching with partner Gemma Owen, so Luca claimed Paige was punching with Adam - before Paige stormed off.

As the Islanders discussed the matter, viewers began tweeting asking why Luca suddenly "slated" Mark Wright, as they noted his "dig".

One fan commented: "Luca what did Mark Wright ever do to you please?"

Another agreed: "why is luca slating mark wright?" as a third tweeted: "Luca’s random dig at Mark Wright."

A fourth fan wrote: "What did mark wright do to Luca lmao," as another tweeted: "Not Luca trying to say Mark Wright isn’t hot, is he threatened by him too."

The comments kept coming too, with one reading: "Luca is arrogant as pork pie! What is he on about with Mark Wright."

It comes as fans hit out at the show after some of the usual or past challenges appeared to be missed from the current series.

While there's still a week to go, fans feared that certain challenges had not made the cut - calling the tasks that did feature "boring".

Love Island producers have now reportedly confirmed that the fan favourite Twitter challenge in particular will not be returning to the ITV2 dating show this year, despite an apparent hint over the weekend.

The Online Buzz Twitter challenge sees the Islanders given tweets from ITV2 viewers and asks them to guess the names.

The challenge has previously created explosive scenes in the villa as the Love Island contestants learn the truth behind certain situations.

Over the weekend Love Island fans believed they had spotted a clue the challenge could soon be returning to screens, when the show’s official Twitter account added a disclaimer to its bio.

However, Love Island will reportedly not feature the popular challenge in the eight series, despite demand from eager fans of the show.
