Love Island fans all say same thing as 'fiery' Zara dumped from villa

Social media blew up after Zara Lackenby-Brown was dumped from the Love Island villa in a shock recoupling. People said they were feeling "gutted" and "fuming" that the model will no longer be on our screens after tonight (February 1).

Tom Clare was the last to pick in the recoupling and he had a choice between Zara and Ellie Spence. After a conflict between the pair this week, he picked Ellie, leaving fans of the popular ITV show "upset".

The 25-year-old said before leaving the villa in South Africa that she couldn't wait to 'hug' her dad when she gets home. She was coupled up with Tom, however after being in the love triangle, decided to call it a day. Asked what advice she would give to fellow Islanders, she replied for them to be their "authentic selves".

All of their Islanders were sad to see their fellow contestant leave the villa after her short time on the show, including fans. Jessie called Zara's exit "iconic" as she strutted out of the villa with her suitcase.

One gutted viewer wrote: "Gutted my fave girl has been dumped #LoveIsland." A second said: "We need another fiery person in there now otherwise there won’t be drama or entertainment #LoveIsland."

@UzoObiorah said: "Oh no, not Queen Z! Awww, big loss to the villa. #loveisland."

Another viewer expressed: "Why am I so upset? I don't even know Zara lmao #TALKSWITHASH #loveisland."

Someone else wrote: "We need another fiery person in there now otherwise there won’t be drama or entertainment #LoveIsland." While others penned: "I can’t lie I think love island made a big mistake allowing Zara to leave uno #loveisland."

"Dming Zara rn with so much love she’s deserves the worlddd #Loveisland" added another fan.

After leaving the villa, asked whether she had a spark with Tom, Zara said: "I went in with an open mind. Tom isn’t my usual type at all so that was new to me but, I was being open minded as I knew the experience was all about pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

"I did think there could be potential with Tom. He’d told me he’d been in a long-term relationship, so I already knew he was capable of being committed. The age difference was a bit of a barrier for me - girls mature faster than guys.

"I genuinely think me and Tom calling it a day was the best thing that we could have done because we weren’t ever actually on the same page. Like a flame, we burned quick, and it was just more physical attraction. The fact we weren’t each other's types intrigued us to try and make a go of it, but ultimately it didn’t work out."

Zara also said that she formed close friendships with 'everybody' in the villa, however singled out Tanya, Shaq and Tanyel.

"They got me and really took the time to understand me. Shaq too, me and him got on like a house on fire! Everyone was lovely but those guys stood out for me" Zara said.

Asked what couple will go the distance, she said: "Jessie and Will. If either of them are prepared to travel, or move, their energies really do match up, they really get along with each other. I do genuinely think that Tanya and Shaq will last, too."

"My time with Will, he’s got the best energy, he’s a cherub. I think the world needs more Wills. Another highlight was when I won the Space Raunch challenge, I just had fun with it!"

Talking about her advice to Love Island contestants, she said "I’d tell them to keep being their authentic selves."

Love Island airs tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
