Love Island is back with a whole new cast of young singletons who are keen to find their soulmate and fall in love.
One real highlight of the series - which is now airing in winter for the very first time - is without a doubt the classic phrases that come about with each year of the show.
And so, we have created a drinking game – called Love Island Bingo - so you too can get involved with the fun of the series (If you are 18+ of course).
As always, make sure you drink plenty of water, pace yourself, have snacks ready, don’t drink and drive and consume alcohol responsibly.
1) Each time one of the women say their type is “tall, dark and handsome”
The clichés have been rife in previous series, but this one has got to be a favourite.
Siânnise has already dropped the TDH line when describing her ideal man before heading into the villa. It’s only a matter of time until the rest of them do too.
2) Someone refers to another contest as “a bit of me”
Another version of “100% my type on paper”, "a bit of me" has become another favourite for our singletons to use almost daily.
Siânnise – our girl loves those clichés – said it before she jetted off to South Africa for the show.
Shaughna also used it when describing her ideal bloke, naming Love Island alumnus, Jack Fincham, as her go–to. Jack, you know who to call if she leaves the villa single…
3) You hear the phrase “It is what it is”
Popularised by footballers everywhere, Sherif Lanre took the phrase into a whole new spectrum last year in the 2019 series of the show.
Despite his early exit, the phrase was still used by the islanders to document their sadness over being #piedoff or #muggedoff.
Sorry Sherif, it is what it is…
4) When someone does the salmon
Chris Taylor, from the 2019 series, was the man, the myth, the legend when it came to doing the Salmon last year.
If you don’t know what the challenge is, it sees people dancing in a fish-like manner before launching themselves into the swimming pool.
Will they recreate it again this year? Who knows. Let’s hope no one tries to take Chris’ crown…
5) When the contestants jump into the pool fully clothed
A form of flirting, but also a key moment for any brilliant dives (we’re looking at you, Olivia Attwood), jumping into the pool has becoming a synonymous moment in the series.
Generally it happens after their big black tie night at the end of the series when all the couples profess their love for each other.
This series could see them do it sooner though if it is warm enough.
6) If someone’s head has been turned
The ultimate rejection in the villa, it’s sadly only a matter of time until one duo, who previously were planning their wedding just hours before, are packing it in after someone better has walked in.
It is a love-themed game show after all…
7) Whenever someone is “pulled for a chat”
By contrast, if you’re pulled for a chat, expect fireworks, cheesy compliments and music by Ellie Goulding as guess what lads, you’re in.
It can also lead to fireworks of the arguing kind, so maybe weigh up the mood before agreeing, Islanders.
8) If a contestant eats a cheese toastie
Queen of Love Island 2018, the her majesty Dani Dyer (her official title, thanks to her dad’s 197th line to the throne) won over viewers for her relatable attitude, sweet nature and love of cheese toasties.
We highly encourage you making one too.
