A Love Island contestant had a wild accusation made against him before even setting foot in the villa.
During the week the ITV show announced its new line-up of contestants looking to find love. Among the islanders was "new hot property" international real estate agent, Andrew Le Page. Show bosses introduced him on their Twitter page as they shared an image of him holding a blue "love" flag.
Fans of the show took to the comments, with some claiming that he looks familiar and they have seen him before. But one commenter in particular made a wild accusation - she claimed that Andrew may have stolen her daughter's handbag and demanded to know his whereabouts on March 12.

The user, Carol McGee, wrote: "He looks like the man who stole my daughters handbag in Sainsburys." She later added: "Can you confirm please if he was in Bristol Sainsburys on March 12."
While Love Island bosses didn't get back to Carol straight away, one helpful fan stepped in to help out and clear Andrew's name. They wrote: "Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Carol but Andrew was in Dubai on March 12, so it seems your perpetrator is still at large."
Previous Love Island contestant, Amber Gill, thought it was hilarious. She jumped on the Twitter thread herself as she wrote: "Get Carol on the show! NOW! First challenge - Did you steal my daughter's handbag?"
Love Island jokingly replied as they wrote: "Speak to challenge team". They shared take note emojis between each word.
Love Island starts at 9pm Monday 6th June on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox
