Love Island's Faye Winter and Teddy Soares confirm split after weeks of speculation

Love Island couple Faye Winter and Teddy Soares have confirmed their split after weeks of speculation.

In recent months, Faye and Teddy have bombarded with claims they may have split after not sharing snaps of one another on social media.

The pair have now unfollowed one another on Instagram and taking to her stories on Wednesday, Faye issued a statement confirming that she and Teddy are no more.

"I wanted to let you know that after lots of time and consideration, Teddy and I have decided to go our separate ways. Thank you all so much for supporting our relationship and sharing the journey with us. I'm forever grateful," Faye wrote.

She also appeared to confirm that she has taken full custody of their beloved dog, Bonnie, by signing off with both their names.

Teddy, 26, is also believed to have officially moved out of their 'dream' home which they bought together shortly after leaving the Love Island villa.

Lifting the lid on their secret split, an inside source has revealed that Faye has been left devastated by the crumbling relationship.

"Faye is devastated they haven't been able to work things out. She really hoped she and Teddy were forever, but sadly it wasn't to be.

"She's known deep down it was over for a while, but wasn't ready to let go. Faye's keeping her focus on their dog Bonnie and making sure she keeps busy with work," they told The Sun.

Faye and Teddy continued to fuel breakup rumours after failing to wish each other a happy Valentine's Day.

On Valentine's Day, Faye and Winter kept silent and didn't share any gushing posts about each other.

Faye only shared snaps and clips of her adorable dog on her Instagram Stories while Teddy kept quiet on his page.

She shared a short clip of her dog chewing on the dog bed as well as a close-up picture of the furry friend.

It comes after Teddy broke his silence on the breakup speculation.

On February 4, he took to his Instagram Stories to address the rumours and said he has "nothing but respect" for Faye. He also asked fans to respect their privacy.

He said: "Everything you have been reading in the press is false. I have had nothing but love and respect for Faye since we first met.

"I do not wish to comment on rumours speculating about our relationship and ask for you to respect our privacy at this time."

Previously, Faye added fuel to the fire when she shared lingerie pictures and commented about Valentine's Day.

While the reality star looked sensational in the pictures, it was her caption which caught the attention of fans.

"Valentine's isn't just for couples, it’s also a time to fall in love with yourself," Faye said, before reminding her fans they were "all strong, sexy and beautiful."

Fans immediately began questioning whether the pair had split after they became the last surviving couple from the 2021 series of the ITV2 dating show.

Faye and Teddy have been living together and also introduced fans to their Golden Retriever puppy, Bonnie, back in September.

The duo haven't confirmed nor denied breaking up but it was reported that Teddy discussed it during the filming for Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

"The SAS cast were quite surprised during filming as Teddy really opened up about how things between him and Faye weren’t good and he was going to end things when he got back from shooting the show," a source told The Sun.

"None of this will be shown on screen but he certainly made no secret of the fact that their days were numbered.

"No one in the cast was surprised, therefore, when the pair confirmed their split as they knew it had been coming for months and, if anything, were expecting it three months ago."

When approached by The Mirror, Faye's representatives declined comment.
