Love Island brings back heart rate challenge as Tyrique admits his true feelings to Ella

Love Island has a number of challenges that it brings out to help the couples bond, add a touch of drama and make for some great TV.

While we still have a few weeks to wait before the hilarious talent show, playing mummies and daddies or the infamous movie night, there are still plenty to get excited about.

In scenes from an upcoming episode, the Islanders are informed they will be taking part in the heart rate challenge that will see each person perform a dance or show off their moves in the hope to get the opposite sex hot underneath the collar.

Following Molly’s blunt and dramatic exit on Friday evening, it’s no surprise that everyone is looking to let their hair down and let off some steam.

Catherine, who is currently coupled up with Andre, receives a text and shouts it out to the rest of the Villa.

She declares: “Islanders, it’s time to get each other’s hearts racing in tonight's Boys vs Girls Challenge #BackToTwerk #GetSexy.”

Love Island ‌HQ have confirmed there will be plenty of costumes for the contestants to get dressed up, including a sassy cheerleader, cheeky cupid, a sexy fireman, a knockout boxer and more.

However, in addition to the Islander who gets the overall pulses racing, the sneaky producers will also reveal exactly who got who breaking a sweat the most.

Could that spell trouble? There will no doubt be some shock results leaving everyone to question if they’re still safe in their couple.

One particular pairing that could be heading for danger is Tyrique and Ella, who have been back and forth since the start of the show.

And now, following Kady McDermott's explosive arrival as a bombshell on Friday – which also spelled the end for Zach and Molly – it appears heads are being turned.

In scenes set to air, Tyrique drops a not so subtle hint to partner Ella that his mind is not made up when it comes to the two of them.

It comes after the 24-year-old spent weeks giving her mixed signals about where their pairing was headed, flirting with new girl Leah and causing Ella to have several heated chats with him.

Having seen Tyrique chatting with Kady and sparks fly, Ella decides to speak to him and ask to know where their relationship is heading, with the semi-professional footballer dropping a clanger.

He tells Ella he “misses the game” of being single, as it’s all he knows, leaving her looking shocked and hurt.

Hinting that he’s not closing himself off from getting to know other people – particularly Kady – Ella must decide whether it’s time to draw a line under their relationship or if they carry on as they are.

Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
