Love Island bosses taking applications from hopefuls who 'are in relationships'

Love Island bosses are now taking applications for the next series of the hit ITV2 dating show.

And it's been reported that hopeful applicants can audition for the show even if they're not single.

Ahead of the next summer series, Love Island hopefuls have been asked to fill out a questionnaire where they discuss their current relationship status.

The ITV show which made global stars out of the likes of Molly-Mae Hague and Dr. Alex George then asks applicants to 'explain' their situation if they reveal they are not entirely single.

If a Love Island wannabe selects 'No' when asked whether or not they're single on the lengthy form, they are then told to 'describe their current relationship situation'.

Despite the fact that they may already be in a committed relationship, applicants can still proceed with the application. process.

Famously, the show is strictly for people who are not relationships and 100% single - so the chance of actually getting on the show if you have another half is slim-to-none.

Inviting people to sign up via its Be on TV website, the broadcaster asks: "How do you fancy finding love in the sun?

"If you think you’ve got what it takes, then we want to hear from you straight away. Applications are now open. "

The show is getting a new villa for summer 2022 (ITV)

Singletons who are hoping to bag a place on the show this summer have been asked to keep ten weeks free in their calendars as producers gear up for the longest-edition of the ITV2 show.

The upcoming series is set to take place in a new villa as Love Island bosses hope to 'refresh' the much-loved show.

The show will still be filmed in the longstanding base of Majorca.
