Love Island bosses speak out amid rumours Paige has quit the villa

Love Island bosses have issued a statement after rumours circulated that Paige Thorne had quit the villa.

A Facebook fan page shared a post which read: "BREAKING NEWS: According to close sources, Paige Thorne has reportedly left the Love Island villa!". It came after Jacques O'Neill - who was then Paige's partner on the show - quit on Tuesday night.

But show bosses have denied this, according to Birmingham Live. ITV Love Island said: "This is complete and utter nonsense. Paige has not left the show and is still in the villa."

When Jacques left the show, he fought back tears and told Paige he wished he could "finish his journey with her". He also told her he'd be waiting for her on the outside.

He said: "You've got to still enjoy your time here. Just do what you need to do and I'll be waiting for you. Paige replied: "I don't want you to go but also I want you to be happy and it hurts me seeing you in this way."

However, Paige has moved on quickly with new bombshell Adam Collard - who previously appeared on Love Island in 2018. Viewers saw Adam chose to couple up with Paige during Thursday night's episode.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and the ITV Hub
