Love Island fans have been saying this season is 'a bit meh' - and they want to see more of presenter Maya Jama. Especially after she made an appearance in a stunning dress by Monot, which sells for £1,575.
Episode three of the show's 9th series aired on ITV2 tonight (Wednesday, January 18) with two new bombshells entering the villa and choosing two of their fellow islanders to take on dates.
Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown, a 25-year-old model and property developer, and 24-year-old money adviser David Salako made shock entrances on the ITV2 dating show. Before the islanders were made aware of Zara and David’s arrival, not one but two receive a text inviting them on dates with the new bombshells.
However, many viewers seem to be less interested in the show's bombshells and its contestants than they are in its new host, Bristolian Maya.
MissOwusu said: "I know it’s still early in the season but this Love Island is a bit meh! Where’s Maya? Lol."
Similar sentiments were shared by @iconicwarren, who tweeted: "This is boring… bring back Maya."
@55kyn said: "This is so boring someone bring my bae Maya Jama. Pls and ty."
@Bratzbxbyyy said: "This is the most cringe boring love island season ever. I’m only here for Maya."
And LoveIslandOpinion tweeted: "Two episodes in and what can i say apart from.....blah. Can't remember a duller start. Tom as a bombshell was blah. The islanders seem blah. Only decent thing so far was Maya Jama in her black dress. Things can only go up. Hopefully."
The dress - believed to be a maxi dress from Mônot with 'a panoply of cutouts strategically placed for alluring glimpses of skin' - was almost as big a hit with viewers as the host who was wearing it.
@itsemmanlovu said: "Tryna focus on love island and all I can keep thinking about is Maya Jama in that dress."
And @_am1naa said: "Whoever styled Maya Jama in that black dress needs a raise immediately."
