Love Island bombshells break up two couples in savage recoupling which will see one girl dumped

Tuesday's episode of Love Island had viewers on the edge of their seats as a brutal recoupling twist broke two couples up and left two islanders at risk of being dumped from the villa.

Bombshells Leah and Charlotte arrived on Monday night which meant it was time for a shock recoupling which came as a shock to many.

And as the islanders gathered around the fire pit, it was announced via text message that the girls were the vulnerable group, with eight girls in total and just six boys - with the boys told to pick which girl they wanted to pair up with.

However, there was a twist, as new girls Leah and Charlotte were informed they could pick first as they were automatically safe. They got to pick a boy each before the boys then picked from the rest of the girls - a move that left the contestants stunned.

In a bold move, Leah picked Tyrique, who was paired up with Ella, and Charlotte chose to pair up with Zachariah. However, Molly had just shared a steamy kiss with Zach following drama with Mitchel.

The bombshells caused maximum drama for sure with their choices, and it's safe to say the Islanders were reeling. From there, André picked Catherine - leaving Ruchee single - and Mehdi chose Whitney.

Sammy saved Jess and Mitchel chose Molly despite her kissing another man - leaving Ruchee and Scots contestant Ella both single and at risk of being dumped.

The episode ended on a cliffhanger, so viewers will have to tune in on Wednesday night to find out what happens as it's up to the islanders to decide who stays and who goes.

It had been claimed that a "favourite" would leave the show, while it's now been confirmed two original girls face the chop.

"Viewers are in for an absolute treat when one of the villa's stars is dumped," a TV insider revealed before the episode. "Bosses are determined to keep the drama coming and this is a departure none of them saw coming," they added to The Sun.

The islander in question has already left the villa, with the scenes airing on Wednesday.

*Love Island airs all this week at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
