In an emotional recoupling ceremony, it was 23-year-old sales manager Indigo who was left single. With no partner, the OG islander was kicked out of the villa.
Following his elimination, Indigo admitted he was blindsided by Sophie‘s decision to recouple with Dylan rather than him. Despite getting dumped, the bloke has no hard feelings towards his fellow costars and their decision.
“I’ve caught up with her a few times, I get along with everyone so well,” Indigo said.
“There wasn’t really anyone in there that was someone I’d probably see myself with anyway, so no regrets. It was a fun time. It was such a good experience. I had heaps of fun, and everyone in there made it enjoyable.”
As of writing, the current couples in the villa include:
- Zane and Xanthe
- Sydney and Tommy
- Dylan and Sophie
- Steph and Mimi
- Taylor and Em
Things seem to be all calm in the villa… for now.
LMAO of course not. Soon after the recoupling ceremony, the villa was hit with two bombshells. Krissy and Kayla, and both are gorgiana!
Surely heads will be turned, and it looks like Zane might have a cheeky crush on Kayla.

In a Love Island first, the Love Island Gods, Sydney and Steph have decided to use their powers to wreak havoc on the house.
To give you a quick TL;DR on the point of the Love Island Gods, the duo can recouple with anyone they want whenever they want.
In history-making recoupling, Sydney chose to pair with Zane and Steph picked Mimi. As a result, Xanthe and Dylan were left single.
However, the tears and tensions came to a halt when Tommy AKA The Egg Man dropped into the villa as the latest bombshell of the season.
The reason why he’s known as the egg man is because he went viral on TikTok for eating eggs (including the shell) whole.
What makes this bombshell extra special was that Tommy was voted in by the superfans! How sweet.
IDK why — I think it’s the hair — but I need to be in that villa because I need him!!!

Eilisha became the first female islander to be dumped from the villa this season after her partner Taylor chose to recouple with Em instead of her.
Following her dramatic exit, the fiery Queenslander said she had “no regrets” coming to Love Island. However, she did say her fellow islander, Em, was “snakey”.
“She was being snakey and she won. Good girl, good on her, yeah,” she shared.

In a private gossip group on Facebook, one punter noticed that an Australian influencer posed with one of the Love Island Australia boys from this season.
Mere days after dropping into the villa as a bombshell, Taylor was spotted in Sam Guggenheimer‘s Instagram Story.
“Sam Gugs posted and quickly deleted an Instagram story with the current Australian Love Island contestant Taylor,” the anonymous fan shared.
Guess Taylor’s Love Island journey didn’t turn out well for him.

With Taylor becoming the first bombshell to enter the villa this year, one dude was unfortunately given the chopping block in Week One. Unfortunately, it was Kane who was dropped from Love Island after his OG pairing, Xanthe, picked Zane over him.
In the season’s first recoupling ceremony, the only two OG couples who stayed together were Hannah and Niko and (surprisingly) Indigo and Em.
The new couples to emerge from the daunting segment included Taylor and Eilisha, Zane and Xanthe and Mimi and Dylan.
Following his shock exit, Kane said he was “blindsided” by Xanthe’s decision. However, there were no hard feelings between him and Xanthe.
“I don’t have regrets. I think I did everything I could, all the people I wanted to talk to that I felt I had a connection with I talked to them,” Kane shared.

Following the premiere of Love Island Australia 2024, it appears that our OG cast has paired up. To give you a quick rundown on who ended up together, Xanthe picked Kane, Zane picked Mimi, Dylan ended up with Eilisha, Indigo and Em coupled up and lastly, Niko and Hannah paired up.

Love Island Australia 2024 has officially kicked off! Prior to Monday night’s premiere, host Sophie Monk spoke to PEDESTRIAN.TV about the huge twist that’s set to rock the villa: Hotel Amor.
During our chat, Monk confirmed that Hotel Amor is a night where they “send the [participants] away for a night in a hotel with no cameras for one night”.
“We break up their couples so they’re with other people, and it equals so much drama. But it’s very, very entertaining.”

Who is in the cast for Love Island Australia 2024?
Our OG cast consists of five gorgiana girls and five great hunks of spunks.
The girls include Eilisha, Xanthe, Em, Mimi and Hannah. And for our boys, we’ve got Kane, Zane, Niko, Dylan and Indigo.
Our first two bombs of the season are Channel Nine’s The Summit star Taylor and Sophie.
Ahead of the season’s introduction to this twist, Channel Nine also announced who will be the Love Island gods. This includes Love Island USA‘s Sydney and Love Island France’s Steph.

Throughout her saucy monologue, Monk went on to explain that she will be putting love “under extreme pressure” in this year’s season before the video cuts to a bunch of potential islanders who will be running amok in the iconic Spanish villa.
However, things began to ramp up when our fave reality TV host dropped a major bombshell that is set to shake up the 2025 Season.
“[It’s] never been done anywhere in the world,” Sophie says as she struts her stuff in a gorgi hot pink number, before announcing ~ Hotel Amor ~.
