Love Island: Adam Collard's 'ex' Rosie Williams warns Paige Thorn's family

Adam Collard made Love Island history last week when he returned to the villa, becoming the first ex-Islander to rejoin the show in its seven year history. Entering as a bombshell, Adam promised to ruffle a few feathers before heading back into the villa, which is not the same one he stayed in during his initial appearance in 2018, but a brand new property for this year's series.

Although many were surprised by his bombshell expert, nobody was anywhere near as shocked as his ex-girlfriend Rosie Williams, who he coupled up with on Love Island four years ago. Following his return to the show, Rosie has branded Adam as 'fame-hungry', OK! Magazine reports.

Rosie said: "Obviously, it’s going to be good for his career and that’s what he’s chosen to do, to boost it, I suppose."

Adam, now 26, gained something of a 'lothario' reputation for himself during his first stay in the villa, and was called out by viewers and organisations for his treatment of Rosie. Initially, Geordie lad Adam coupled up with Kendall Rae Knight before getting together with Rosie, a Welsh solicitor, before betraying her trust when he began to flirt with Megan Barton-Hanson.

Bristol Charity Women's Aid issued a statement following Adam's return to Love Island, calling for ITV to recognise 'how serious' his behaviour was. The charity said that Adam exhibiting 'unacceptable behaviour' which included 'gaslighting and emotional abuse'.

Rosie has admitted that watching Adam, who dated their fellow Islander, Zara McDermott for nine months, has brought back bad memories. She said: "It’s really surreal to watch him do it again. It brings back a lot of emotions I was feeling at the time."

The 30-year-old has issued a warning to Paige Thorne, one of this years Islanders, as she is now coupled up with Adam. She said: "Don’t fall too deep too quickly.

"Take Adam as he comes and see how it goes. That’s all I can say."

Rosie even messaged Paige's Instagram account, which is currently being managed by her family whilst she is on Love Island. Rosie said: "I DM’d her Instagram account, just saying she was doing amazing and that I hope my little Welsh sister doesn’t fall for his charm, with a laughing face.

"It was a bit of a joke. They just replied saying they bet it was a shock for me seeing him in there!"

Rosie also praised Women's Aid for issuing a warning to ITV following Adam's behaviour in the 2018 series of the show. She told OK!: "I think it’s good of them. They were on my side when I was on the show and they supported me, as they do with lots of women when they see red flags.

"I think if they hadn’t made any sort of statement, it would go against everything they stand for. At the time, when you’re in there and you’re going through it, you know you’re upset and hurt, but you don’t understand to the full extent what’s going on.

"When I came out and revisited it, it was hard to watch. Especially the make-up challenge [Adam purposely did Rosie’s make-up poorly and Zara McDermott’s nicely]. I remember how awful that day was for me. On reflection, it was horrific what he was doing."
