Love Island 2023 viewers 'screaming' as Maya Jama makes presenting debut

Love Island viewers have reacted after Maya Jama made her long-awaited Love Island appearance. It was announced the presenter would take over hosting duties from Laura Whitmore earlier this year and the 28-year-old has now made her debut during the launch episode for the winter edition.

Arriving in style, Maya made her way to the villa, which is located in South Africa, via helicopter before meeting with this year's contestants for the coupling up ceremony. Making her debut, Maya said: "It's a new year, in a brand new villa, it's a stunning location ready for some sexy singles looking for love, all we need now are some Islanders."

And as the presenter introduced this year's line-up for the first time, viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts. Posting on social media, one viewer wrote: "Internally screaming every time I see Maya!!!"
