Love Island viewers have reacted after Maya Jama made her long-awaited Love Island appearance. It was announced the presenter would take over hosting duties from Laura Whitmore earlier this year and the 28-year-old has now made her debut during the launch episode for the winter edition.

Making her debut, Maya said: "It's a new year, in a brand new villa, it's a stunning location ready for some sexy singles looking for love, all we need now are some Islanders."
And as the presenter introduced this year's line-up for the first time, viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts. Posting on social media, one viewer wrote: "Internally screaming every time I see Maya!!!"
