ITV have finally confirmed the start date for one of their most-loved programmes, Love Island, as the winter series gets underway this month.
The popular dating show will restart again in January, as the next set of hopeful contestants enter the villa to find their next potential bachelor or bachelorette. The series will begin on Monday, January 16, 2023, at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
New host Maya Jama will take on the reign of introducing the contestants to their South African villa, and potentially the love of their life.

Maya fills the boots of former presenter Laura Whitmore, who resigned from the show after the last series in 2022.
There have been eight seasons of the show in total, with only one winter edition. Our only Scottish winner, Paige Turley, appeared on the first ever winter edition of the show, and is still with her boyfriend, Finn Tapp.
Fans have reacted to the news with excitement and joy that their favourite show on television is returning, as ITV said on Twitter: "We’re ready to crack on! Love Island starts 16 Jan at 9pm on ITV2 and @ITVX #LoveIsland."
One Twitter user wrote: "This will get us in bed early!"
Another said: "oh here we GO #LoveIsland."
And a third exclaimed: "Yessss can’t wait!"
A fourth added: "Can’t wait!"

Love Island will return to ITV2 and ITVX on Monday, January 16 at 9pm, and will continue every night after that except for Saturday nights.
