It's just a matter of days until Maya Jama struts onto our screens as the new host of Love Island. The Bristolian presenter will be filling the shoes of Laura Whitmore as she heads into the luxury South African villa to oversee the re-couplings of a brand new cohort of sexy singletons.
Maya, 28, was announced as the new face of Love Island in October, and confessed at the time that she had 'always been such a massive Love Island fan' and was 'so excited' for her new role. As a Love Island fanatic, the presenter has said there is one past contestant she'd love to see return as a bombshell.
Last year, fans were left shocked as Adam Collard, who originally appeared on the fourth series of Love Island back in 2018, made a return to the villa in a bid to convince viewers that he had changed. Adam caused a considerable amount of controversy during his first round in the villa, with Women's Aid warning Love Island fans of 'gaslighting and emotional abuse' as a result of Adam's apparent treatment of Rosie Williams.

When asked by RadioTimes who she would like to see return to the villa, Maya said: "Theo [Campbell]! I found him hilarious.
"That line about 'leave with them' – it was that. We were all feeling it and Theo actually said it. You need that honesty sometimes!"
Theo appeared in series three of Love Island in 2017, lasting just nine days in the villa. During his time on the show, Theo got close with Tyla Carr, Olivia Attwood and Amber Davies.
The Bath athlete has since appeared on Ex On The Beach after his relationship with fellow Love Islander Kaz Crossley broke down after she 'changed her mind' overnight. Around a year after the couple called it quits, Theo became a dad to Aries in February 2021, a son he welcomed into the world with influencer Sapphire Yhnell.
Prior to his stint on Love Island, Theo was no stranger to fame, with the Bath Chronicle reporting on his friendship with retired Olympian Usain Bolt around a year before he entered the villa. Theo had represented England in the 400m at athletic events across the world before finding mainstream fame.
