Love Island 2023: Jessie in floods of tears as she faces Casa Amor bombshell Layla who kissed Will

Following the most explosive episode of Love Island 2023 to date - the Casa Amor recoupling - it's safe to say the air was in need of clearing. With the Islanders coming to terms with the recoupling, reflecting on their decisions and saying goodbye to those who had been dumped, three Casa Amor bombshells, came face to face with Jessie, Claudia and Samie on Friday, February 17 to uncover what their boys did while they were away.

On Thursday, viewers tuned in to see Casa Amor come to an end and with it a dramatic recoupling in which nine contestants were dumped, three Islanders recoupled and one left single.

As Kai Fagan and Olivia Hawkins butted heads after they both recoupled, Tom, Will and Casey were forced to defend themselves after being called out for kissing the Casa Amor bombshells. And while the Islanders were left in shock as Shaq Muhammad was faced with being single after Tanya Mahenga came back with new boy Martin Akinola, nothing could have prepared Jessie Wynter for what was to come.

After putting her faith in farmer Will Young and being overjoyed that he was standing around the firepit having not recoupled, she soon learnt he had been disloyal on the first night with Layla [Al-Momani which led her to tears. Read more on the events that unfolded here.

And on Friday the girls receieved a text that read: "Samie, Jessie and Claudia. Please get ready to leave the Villa as Cynthia [Otseh-Taiwo], Layla [Al-Momani] and Lydia [Karakyriakou] want to catch up #GetTheTea #NothingStaysAtCasa"

During the catch up, Jessie learned some hard truths from Layla about what Will got up to with her. Layla said: "I guess he was saying a few flirty things. He was. But I was just thinking he's being cheeky - you know what men are like. We ended up chatting again. There was one point where he said: 'Oh I think you're going to turn my head', or something like that.

"He said that I brought out a side of him that he hasn't been able to bring out in here yet. And then obviously we kissed and I could tell that he was feeling a little bit different."

Australain Jessie, 26, told her: "He would have known that I would have felt disrespected by him doing that. Even the flirting would have upset me, like a little bit. The fact that he's chasing you and making effort with you just really makes me confused. And I actually do feel like Will and I had a really genuine connection and... we went away in the hideaway together and I just don't understand.

"If our connection is so strong, how can you chase after a girl that day? It's just really hard," Jessie said as she broke down in tears.

"Swear to god I love that man. It's really frustrating. I wanted to come back and tell him that. Imagine if I'd said that at the recoupling last night? That would have been so humiliating."

Back at the main Villa, Jessie told the rest of the girls: "I feel like coming out of that I feel worse."
