Summer is fast approaching and that means one thing, the eighth series of Love Island will be returning to our screens.
The reality dating show has become one of the most highly anticipated shows every year while introducing us to a group of new contestants searching for love and looking to boost their careers.
Love Island 2022 is expected to be full of unexpected recouplings to plenty of shocking dumpings when the next group of islanders fly to the new villa.

Love Island is back next month, and ITV dropped the first promo trailer during Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday night (May 14).
The trailer says "224 islanders have slo-mo walked through the famous Love Island villas doors."
The video is an animation and you'll spot an animated Millie Court (last year's winner) playing her keyboard by the pool which was the source of memes online.
It also pokes fun at rival Netflix reality dating shows Love Is Blind and Too Hot to Handle, saying: “This summer love isn’t blind, it’s neon and we can defo handle the heat – we’ve got a fire pit mate.”
When will Love Island 2022 start date?
ITV has confirmed Love Island will start in June.
Although an exact start date has yet to be officially announced, it is rumoured to be June 6.
The much-loved reality series will be broadcast from a brand new location.
ITV bosses confirmed that this year's series of Love Island will be filmed in a 'brand new villa'.
Previously the show has aired in Ireland on Virgin Media One every weekday and Sunday at 9pm.
An official statement read: "The ultimate Summer of love is on the horizon as Love Island makes its long-awaited return, direct from a brand new villa in Mallorca. Applications are currently open for singletons looking for a long, hot Summer…"
Where exactly is the new villa?
The villa from series seven is on the outskirts of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar in Mallorca and would be the expected location for the new series, but producers were searching for a brand new villa for 2022.
This year's contestants will be heading to a new villa that is currently being refurbished with neon lights and colours on the Spanish island of Mallorca.
ITV boss Kevin Lygo confirmed producers were looking for a new villa and said: “We didn’t own it, we rented it, and we are choosing a new house for this summer so that is all secrecy,’ he said. ‘It is going to be marvellous.”
The six-bedroom villa has been under construction for the last few weeks and will be completed just before the series begins.
The winter series took place in South Africa.
Who won Love Island 2021?
Fan favourites Millie Court and Liam Reardon were crowned the winners of Love Island last year.
The pair are still together and have since moved into their own home.
Who will be this year's presenter?
Irish television presenter Laura Whitmore is set to be returning to host this year's Love Island series after taking over from the late Caroline Flack.
Laura’s husband Iain Stirling will be returning as the narrator, which he has been doing since the show's inception.

The rumoured line-up has been released and fans are already coming up with predictions about who could be preparing to enter this year's villa.
Fans of the show have made content on TikTok and Instagram with their predictions - some of the lists include a former WAG and basketball star.

Brad McDermott
Brad is the brother of former Love Islander Zara McDermott.
Brad has a modest following of 17,200 on Instagram and is rumoured to be in talks with bosses about being on this year's Love Island.
Sophie Draper
Sophie a 22-year-old beautician has 20,000 followers on Instagram and owns a beauty salon in Nottingham.
She previously dated Aston Villa footballer Matty Cash.
Gemma Owen
Gemma, 19, is the daughter of England legend Michael Owen.
She owns her own swimwear brand and bosses are reportedly keen to sign her for the new series.
Jordan Spencer
Jordan is a basketball player who is reportedly about to sign for the upcoming series.
He previously played for the London Lions and has 3,600 followers on Instagram.
Eabha O’Donoghue
Irish influencer and TikTok star Eabha O'Donoghue has sparked rumours she's set to appear on the new season of Love Island.
Josh Legrove
Josh is a model and boxer, and has been dubbed “the new Tommy Fury”, and caught the eyes of producers with his jet and lavish lifestyle.
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu
Ekin-Su is a Turkish actress and influencer.
Ekin-Su is based in London and splits her time between there and Istanbul.
She has 338k followers on Instagram and is known for her role as Isil on Turkish TV series, Kuzey Yildizi.
