Ronan Keating has admitted he was worried when his son Jack Keating made his Love Island debut at the weekend.
The Boyzone singer’s 23-year-old off-spring was introduced as one of six Casa Amor boys hoping to tempt the villa girls away from their partners.
Now his dad has confessed he was “nervous as hell” and seeing his son on TV had his heart beating out of his chest.
He told MailOnline: “I won’t lie, I’ve been nervous as hell. When I saw him walk into the villa my heart was beating out of my chest.
“The house is not the same without him and his little brother and sister are missing playing with him every day but we’re tuning in every night to get our Jack fix and see where this adventure takes him.
“I’m excited for him though, this is something he wanted to do, and I’ll always support him and all my kids in their endeavours.”
Keating junior is off to a promising start after he was seen on Sunday’s episode getting to know Gemma Owen, 19, whose dad is former England footballer Michael Owen.
He also wasted no time in name-dropping his famous dad.
Speaking the international dressage rider by the pool, he said: “I work in social media marketing so I basically just sit on Instagram all day just hitting up influencers.
“I moved up to London last year. My mum lives in Ireland, my mum and my little sister are big into show jumping, and I know you’re big into it.
“My dad is a singer. Do you know Ronan Keating? That’s the old man.
“I am very family orientated, my parents are separated, and my dad remarried five or six years ago. I live with my dad and my sister and his family now.
“It would be something that I look for in a girl, someone that isn’t family orientated I’d be like… I’ve got a big, crazy family at home, so you best be ready for that.”
