Love Island 2022: Luca Bish's cringe chat up line as mates tell him to 'drop standards'

Luca Bish has a cringe chat up line to use on girls in the Love Island villa this summer.

The 23-year-old fishmonger from Brighton was one of 11 Islanders to be announced for the upcoming eight series, which debuts next Monday June 6 at 9pm on ITV2 as the broadcast kicks off their summer of love.

Luca was the final contestant to be revealed for this series today, and ahead of his stint in the villa, he has shared one of his favourite chat up lines - involving raisins - as he opened up about his previous dating history before the show.

Speaking ahead of the show, he revealed some of the more grand gestures he's done for his past loves, sharing: "I’ve taken a girl on a private plane for a first date. She wanted flying lessons. She flew the plane and I was in the back!"

However, despite the sweet gesture, he was still adamant that he'd use a cringe chat up line to win a girl over.

Asked what he'd do if he had to do one thing to impress a girl, he confessed he had a great chat up line, before delivering it. "I do have a line, 'Do you like raisins? How do you feel about a date though?'"

He plans to bring some fun to the villa - and alongside his self-described good looks, he knows his personality will win them over.

"A lot of laughter hopefully. I like having a bit of fun, I’m not someone who takes everything too seriously," he added.

"I want to have a good time there and make sure everyone else is - you don’t want anyone sulking about. I don’t think I’m a bad looking geezer but I think it comes down to personality and who can actually hold a conversation - I think I’ll be good in the Villa."

Luca admits he is one to fall in love quickly - especially if it's the right girl, and he's not afraid to step on anyone's toes to get there.

"I'm proper competitive - I hate losing. I’m not a homewrecker but if it’s early doors and I like that girl then I’ll go for her," he said.

"When you actually look back at Love Island, you can see how many couples it’s genuinely made. I don’t know how many kids Love Island has made but there are a few aren’t there?"

His friends have also told him his standards are "too high" - so will he find love in the villa?

*Love Island starts at 9pm Monday 6th June on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
