Love Island season is officially here and a first look at the launch episode suggests this series is going to be dramatic from the get-go. Earlier this month, ITV2 announced this year's line-up but one contestant could be facing the axe after just 24 hours in the villa.
Yes, you read that right. The first bombshell, Davide, is set to enter the villa during tonight's episode [Monday, June 6] after the Islanders have already coupled up. You can read the full list of 2022 contestants, here.
In scenes set to air tonight, the girls - Paige, Indiyah, Tasha, Amber, and Gemma - all make their entrance and explore their new home before host Laura Whitmore joins them for a chat.

After getting to know a little bit about the contestants, the presenter then says: "Well girls, it's time to couple up. There is something I haven't told you yet - things are a little different this year.
"You thought you'd all be stepping forward for the boys you fancy the most. However, this is Love Island and you never know what to expect. For the first time ever, we asked the public to play cupid and pick the boy they thought you should couple up with."
Tasha responds: "I trust the public, I trust them." The boys - Dami, Liam, Ikenna, Andrew and Luca - then make their entrance and meet the girls for the very first time.
One-by-one it's revealed who the public have chosen to couple up and the Islanders head into the villa to get to know one another. However, as the first day draws to a close, new boy Davide makes his entrance as the first bombshell of the series.
Speaking in the Beach Hut about Davide's arrival, Indiyah says: "When I saw him, I was very confused because I had no warning but he is very good looking!" Gemma adds "I was blown away."
Tasha is equally impressed and says: "Straight away I was like, 'Wow. Fit. Hot. Sexy. Hercules'." While Paige gushes: "I'm done. I'm ready to get married. I'm ready to have babies."
Shortly after Davide's arrival the Islanders play a game of dares, but it's not long before a text threatens to cause some drama. Reading out the text, Davide tells the group: "Davide, in 24 hours you will couple up with a girl of your choice, leaving one boy single and vulnerable #italiansnack #ciaobella"
