Love Island 2021 winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon split after less than a year

Love Island 2021 winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon have split.

Millie, 26, confirmed the split on Instagram with an emotional statement after the Love Island winners made the decision to end their romance after almost a year of dating.

Blonde bombshell Millie, who has been living with Liam, 23, since last September, admitted that she wanted to set the record straight on their split to avoid anymore heartbreak.

"Hi everyone, to avoid any speculation Liam and I wanted to share with you that we have separated," Millie penned.

"It's been a tough decision and I am gutted but it's ultimately what is best for us right now.

"Thank you to every single one of you for supporting our relationship.

"Nothing will ever take away from the amazing experience we shared in Love Island and the past year and I wish Liam all the best in everything he does."

Millie ended the emotional statement by writing: "We're both ready for new chapters and I'm excited for what's next. Love, Millie."

Elsewhere, Liam released a similar statement as he admitted that he was 'so gutted' that his romance with Millie was finally over.

The Welsh native penned: "We will both continue to be friends and I will remain as Millie's biggest supporter in all that she does and I know she will always do amazing.

"We're both ready for new chapters and I'm excited for what's next.

"Again I just want to thank you all for supporting us on what's been an incredible journey."

Millie and Liam's split comes after months of speculation that the Love Island lovebirds were on the rocks.

Despite the ongoing rumours, the power couple appeared to bat off split rumours by continuing to post loved-up snaps on their respective Instagram accounts.

However, their time has finally come to an end after the pair first fell head over heels for one another in the Love Island villa last summer.

The pair had appeared to be going from strength-to-strength after moving in with one another just a few short months after winning Love Island as Liam packed his bags and moved out of his hometown for a new adventure in London.
