Vin Diesel has paid tribute to pal Paul Walker on the ninth anniversary of the actor’s death.
Walker, 40, tragically died in a fiery car crash, caused by speeding and the condition of the tyres, in Santa Clarita, California, in 2013.
Diesel, 55, who had been friends with the actor since they first co-starred in the Fast & Furious franchise in 2001, marked the sad anniversary by posting a snap of them laughing on set.
He captioned the image: “Nine years… love and miss you.”
Diesel, 55, who is close to Walker’s family, even walked the late actor’s daughter, Meadow, down the aisle when she wed in 2021.
Diesel’s daughter Hania was in Meadow’s bridal party.
The actor previously recalled about the wedding in a Facebook post: “The same angel that you helped me prepare for in the most beautiful way with your brotherly advice is the same angel that precious Meadow asked to be her Maid of Honour.
“How could I have known that back on the 2008 set of Fast... but maybe somehow you did.”
A week after Walker’s death, Diesel said in a Facebook post: “Pablo, I wish you could see the world right now… and the profound impact, your full life has had on it, on Us… on me.”
Walker was only 40 when he died.
