Martine McCutcheon has shared her heartbreak after the unexpected death of her younger brother.
The Love Actually and EastEnders star, 46, said that LJ was just 31 when he passed away two weeks ago and that there is currently “no medical explanation” for his death. LJ was due to get married next month, with Martine as his bridesmaid.
In a loving tribute to her brother, Martine wrote on Instagram: “My heart is forever broken. My baby brother, my gentle giant, sadly passed away, suddenly, 2 weeks ago.

“He was 31 years old. There is no medical explanation as to why we lost him so soon and whilst we investigate further, we are having to accept that nothing will bring our boy back to us.
“L.J (Laurence John) was born when I was 15 years old and from the moment I first held him in my arms, I felt so proud and fiercely protective of him,” she went on. “He was such a character!”
The actress added: “LJ fell in love and was due to get married next month. I was asked to be bridesmaid and the last time I saw him, was a few days before he passed.
“He looked so tanned, tall and handsome. The best I’ve ever seen him.”
Martine finished the post with a heartbreaking message to her brother: “I'm scared to live without you LJ but I know you will want us to truly live, laugh and love in your memory. I will try, I promise.”
Friends of Martine offered their condolences following the devastating announcement, with actress Sheridan Smith writing: “Oh, I am so sorry Martine.”
“Martine, my heart is utterly broken for you. I am so very sorry,” singer and presenter Myleene Klass commented.
Alan Carr added: “Martine!! That’s so awful, sending you so much love right now.”
