Love it or hate it, there's no denying that Love Actually is a Christmas classic.
Even the biggest Scrooge would struggle not to smile at a dancing Hugh Grant shimmying his way down the 10 Downing Street staircase, or the chaotic - but iconic - school nativity featuring sea creatures, spiderman AND Mariah Carey. It's fair to say, in his 2003 festive hit, screenwriter Richard Curtis has given us some of the most loveable characters in holiday rom-com history.
Set in snowy London, the film follows nine different storylines. Featuring an all-star cast including Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Bill Nighy, Keira Knightley, Liam Neeson and Colin Firth, our (mostly) unlucky-in-love characters navigate their relationships in the run-up to Christmas Day.

From Bad Harry and his marriage-ruining necklace to Mark and his festive but inappropriate declaration of love, the film takes us through first loves, forbidden loves, friendships and close calls that never quite make it.
