Louisiana Gov. Landry Emphasizes Crushing Evil To Protect Americans

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry speaks during a press conference to discuss his decision to veto House Bill 423, Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at the Louisiana State Capitol in Baton Rouge, La. Republi

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry emphasized the importance of taking a strong stance against evil in the wake of the recent attack on Bourbon Street. During a news conference, Gov. Landry stated that such attacks can occur anywhere and that it is crucial to proactively address and eliminate evil to protect Americans.

He stressed the need to confront evil head-on rather than attempting to appease or ignore it. Gov. Landry highlighted the necessity of actively combating evil rather than merely hoping it does not manifest itself in communities.

“You can’t go out there and placate it (evil). You can’t go out there and say, ‘Oh, I’m going to put this in place and that in place and hope that evil doesn’t show up on your doorstep.’ Because it will. You have to crush it. And that’s what we’re going to do here,” Gov. Landry affirmed.
