Louise Thompson fears she has autoimmune disease after breaking out in 'horrendous' rash

Former Made In Chelsea star Louise Thompson has revealed she's undergoing to tests to determine whether she suffers from Lupus.

It comes just days after the reality personality took to social media, explaining that she had broken out into a large rash on her face, which she claims felt as though she had "battery acid" poured into her head.

Now, the mum-of-one has opened up about her health, explaining she has been pestering medics for some time over her symptoms.

Louise, 32, took to her Instagram page to share an update with her millions of followers who had been left concerned by her recent appearance.

Taking to her Stories, she said: "Thanks for all your kind messages yesterday.

"A LOT of you messaged me mentioning Lupus and the (private) doctor I saw yesterday took one look at me and said 'YEAH Lupis big time...', so I'm hoping to follow up with someone more specialist.

"It's frustrating because I've suggested Lupus to the NHS and my gastro team at Chelwest (Chelsea and Westminster Hospital) before and they haven't wanted to follow up at all.

"I had some blood tests done privately a while ago with a lovely rheumatologist which suggested Lupus because of my antibodies but they didn't acknowledge it and didn't want to change my TNF treatment for my UC."

The Mirror has approached the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for comment.

Earlier this week, Louise shared a snap on her Stories after breaking out into a rash which surrounded her nose and under her eyes.

She said: "I honestly feel like I've had battery acid poured into my head.

"I've been given Co-codamol for the pain but now worried about that interacting with mirtazapine [anti-depressant].

"Something I've taken in the past few days has turned my typical 'flu' into something much worse.

"I can handle temperatures, body aches and pains, but the unrelenting pressure around my temples is astronomical.

"I've woken up with the most horrendous rash and swelling accompanied by this ongoing headache and really bad pain in my face

Sam Thompson's sister went on to say that it felt as though her immune system was "attacking" her face before continuing: "It's actually a miracle anyone got any sleep in our house last night. Ryan has come down with it too."

Symptoms of Lupus, according to the NHS website include joint and muscle pain, extreme tiredness, rashes over the nose and cheeks as well as high temperatures, headaches, mouth sores and sensitivity to light.
