Louise Thompson is worried she's taken a 'massive leap backwards' after receiving some devastating news.
The mum-of-one, 33, has been struggling with her mental health after being diagnosed with PTSD following the traumatic birth of her son Leo in 2021.
On the weekend, Louise told fans she was looking forward to an 'exciting lunch' following a hospital appointment, but she'd had to cancel her plans after being given some worrying news.
Taking to Instagram sporting an elegant black dress followed by a tearful selfie from a taxi, she wrote: "An outfit that I stepped into with great confidence this morning (laid out the night before in a moment of hyper productivity) knowing that I was headed to a hospital appointment at 10.30am shortly followed by an exciting lunch in Holland Park at 12pm.
"Sadly I got some news that I didn’t want to hear and had to do a U turn to go home and cry which is so unlike me, trauma or no trauma. I never just don’t show up. But today I needed to honour my feelings and curl up into a ball of tears in Ryan’s arms. It’s news I probably should have expected but it landed with such a thud."
Admitting she'd tried to unsuccessfully 'bury' the news, Louise explained the traumatic incidences that have occurred over the past 18 month raced back, 'pinging through her brain'.
She shared: "It’s the most uncomfortable feeling. It feels like pure stress. Poison in my head."
Asking her followers whether things would get better, the Made In Chelsea star explained that she has been making progress, but is now worried she's taken a 'massive leap backwards'.
She said: "I know it seems like I’m doing so well, and maybe I am, but in all honesty I’ve had a rough time since therapy on Friday. I re-enacted the first operation in a lot of detail with my therapist and it’s freaked my brain out a bit."
Louise, who is married to MIC co-star Ryan Libbey, kept the arrival of her first born private for five weeks after 'various serious complications' left her confined to a wheelchair and recovering in hospital for a month post-birth.
She regularly updates fans about her physical and mental health battles since giving birth as she attends multiple hospital appointments in a bid to return to full health.
