Louise Redknapp praised by fans and snogged by a DOG after releasing new single

Louise Redknapp is overwhelmed with the love she is receiving - not least from a randy dog that seemed determined to snog her.

The 44-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star is back with a bang and a brand new single called Stretch - marking her return to the music world 16 years after since the release of her last single and 24 years after she quit Eternal.

Louise has been drumming up support for her new song - with an appearance at BBC Radio 2 to plug the track to the nation.

The singer channelled rock-star chic as she arrived at the Radio 2 offices in Central London on Tuesday - wearing dark sunglasses, a graphic adorned t-shirt, black coat and black jeans.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Louise revealed she was grateful, thankful and in awe of the support fans were showing her for her new single.

“Hey guys. I wanted to say a really big thank you for all the love you’ve given me for Stretch,” she gushed from the back seat of a taxi.

“I’m super proud of it and I’m so pleased you finally got to hear it and I hope you enjoy the rest of the album too,” she added.

There was more love and affection coming Louise’s way - however she didn’t seem particularly overjoyed this time, as a friend’s dog pinned her to the floor and tried to lick the inside of her mouth.

A giggling Louise asked the dog to release her as she laughed and giggled - with video also being uploaded to Instagram Stories.

The dog belongs to artist manager, Wayne Russell - and Louise captioned that the dog was giving her a “warm welcome” as it licked her face.

Meanwhile, fans of Louise can finally see her sing and dance live on stage in London in a production of 9 to 5 alongside Bonnie Langford and Amber Davies.

The musical is currently enjoying a run at the Savoy Theatre in the West End and kicked off at the end of January - however Louise’s appearance on the show has been delayed until now after she suffered an injury during rehearsals.

The show is due to run until 31 August.
